
Well Mother Nature was apparently just teasing us about the arrival of spring. The few sunny days we’ve lately enjoyed have been bullied away by the persistent cold and rain. A simple, hearty bowl of chicken soup was the order of the day after a flu virus attacked my unfortunate husband this weekend. He’s better now, thankfully, and the soup gets all the credit for helping to banish the nasty virus. Magic Soup, it’s called at Recipezaar, and so it is.

I was never much of a plain popcorn fan. I always thought it was such a waste of chewing effort to eat something so flavorless. Shocking, I know, since most people (including my husband) could live on the stuff. This all changed when he introduced me to brewer’s yeast (aka nutritional yeast).

In terms of preparation, think pesto sans the basil and cheese. It’s very easy and I hope you will enjoy it as much as I do.
