Oh, what lovely shots!!! IT just takes you back, doesn’t it?? So many beautiful memories. LOVE that shot of the spices. I can only imagine how hard it would have been to not dive into each little pot and package it up for home.
Jean – those are stunning shots of Nice! I loved visiting there years ago and would love to go back. Is that hubby behind the newspaper? I bet you were in food heaven there!! Loving the silent sundays!
The memories come flooding back!!! I was fortunate to spend 2 weeks in Nice taking a french language course and having the daughter of a friend who lived in Nice to show me around…I hope to get back one day for another visit but in the meanwhile I have your lovely photos to enjoy;-)
Holly, that’s my favorite picture, too. 🙂 She was actually eating it as she walked by our table. I thought it summed up what market day is all about. 🙂
Nancy, that’s the hubs and you are absolutely right! Well, he wasn’t doing that but it sure looks like he was! I didn’t notice this until I reviewed the pictures the other day–I briefly considered omitting the pic but that’s why I put it in a collage rather than solo. Good eye! 🙂
Oh, how I love the French Riviera. Your shots are stunning, Jean. I love each one the same and can’t wait to visit there again one day. Is that you with the watermelon?;)
How beautiful! I would love to just escape and travel!

Such a lovely respite from a rather gloomy Sunday. 🙂
Love a little armchair travel on a snowy Sunday! Thank you!
Shopping at the food markets in Europe is one of life’s greatest pleasures!
Oh gorgeous…I so want to go!

Your photos are gorgeous! I’ve been to France, but never to Nice, so I’m thinking I need another trip back!

Love your photos! This reminds me of my home country, Macedonia… market day is always so busy, so colorful, so full of life!

How lovely! I love the pictures of fresh produce and the spices! Thanks for sharing!
OMG there are still figs in the markets in Provence!!! They’ve been gone from the northwest for weeks and I’m sad. 🙁
Love the photo of the woman smelling the watermelon. Perfection.

You are making me miss Paris
All those spices and lined up fruit are amazing. Great photos.
You take beautiful pictures, Jean! I’ll never ever get tired of travel pictures. What a fun surprise to see pictures from your trip!
Hi Jean,
Gorgeous photos! Markets in France are so much fun. Thanks for sharing.
I’m laughing at the photo with the man reading the newspaper. Is it just me or is he flipping the bird? Lol 🙂 I love it:)
